Additional Director (General Administration)
The Additional Director (General Administration) is responsible for overseeing the department's overall administrative functions, planning, and development activities. This includes serving as the convener of the Plan Progress Review Committee and ensuring the timely utilization of project funds by coordinating with Deputy Directors. The role also involves supervising the formulation and execution of annual and five-year plans, coordinating budget proposals, and organizing necessary meetings. Additionally, the Additional Director manages media awards, conducts monthly reviews of district-level office operations, and oversees quarterly meetings at the Directorate and regional levels, providing reports to the Director and Secretary.
The position also holds supervisory authority over Planning & Development activities, the Press Release section, and the Advertisement (Print) division's administrative matters. Furthermore, the Additional Director oversees the Publication division, ensuring the efficient execution of field publicity, outdoor promotions, exhibitions, and participation in the New Delhi IITF (India International Trade Fair).
Moreover, the role includes monitoring the work of the Deputy Director (Publication), Deputy Director (Advertisement & Marketing), and Deputy Director (Field Publicity), ensuring alignment with the department's objectives and efficient execution of their respective responsibilities.
